Match Report
DCC won the toss and elected to field first. PTCC started slowly and were 35-2 in 10 overs. PTCC picked up their run rate and were 99-3 after 18 overs. Things went downhill from there because of 2 quick wickets. At the end of the 26th over PTCC were 133-6 and then Bakhtiar took on the DCC bowlers and hammered them to all parts of the ground (He hit six 6’s and four 4’s). On the other end Alyas supported him till the 33rd over and he played some beautiful stokes as well. Bakhtiar ended up at 61*, and PTCC scored over 90 runs in the last 9 overs. PTCC ended up scoring 230 runs!!!

PTCC knew that Ivan was the danger man, and they had to pick him early. That’s exactly what Zeeshan did, he bowled him in the first over. Then Sanjeeva came in and played some beautiful pulls and drives. He threatened to take the game away from PTCC, but he got out after a quick 50. DCC were comfortably placed at 71-1 in 12 overs. After the break PTCC were on fire they picked up 4 wickets in no time. Asim and Ibrar bowled beautifully and they kept the pressure on DCC. At the end of 18th over DCC were 102-7. The game was almost over when DCC were nine down for 140 odd runs, but they put up a 40 run partnership for the last wicket. DCC ended up 186-all out.

All the credit should go to Asim and Ibrar for their brilliant spells. This shows what team spirit can do. There were some questions over Ibrar’s selection and he has proven all of them wrong . PTCC would like to thank Shah and Sarfaraz for substitute fielding. We also thank Bakhtiar for his excellent speech during first break which lifted everyones spirt.

MoM ::: Asim Khan and Ibrar Khan for brilliant bowling.
