Match Report
COCC had been waiting to get back on track with some cricket as they had a long layoff for 3 weeks. COCC against DCC was going to a match to worth keep a watch as the playoffs had enough upsets prior to their clash. Both the teams had some good macc record and it could be anyone’s game.

Both umpires arrived on time. DCC to made it on time keeping in mind the long drive they had to make to play this game. Both teams introduced themselves before the start of game. COCC once again won the toss and decided to bat first. The team had something different in mind and opened their innings with Kartik and Viren. Both the batsman applied themselves and played sensible cricket with an excellent runrate.Kartik was flawless and hit some well time shots to attack the opponents.Viren played a patient game to build a good platform. The pair had added 60 valuable runs before Kartik fell to Niranjan. Shrinu joined Viren but he too didn’t last long.JD joined Viren and when it seemed that the partnership was building Viren was stumped by Sanjeewa to an excellent glovework. Nikhil joined his captain and both of them did the repair work. Both of them played the waiting game with odd boundaries. When Nikhil was looking dangerous he fell to Ravi on his first delivery.JD and Nikhil had added valuable 45 runs for their team.Raju joined JD but JD lost his wicket to hit a third consecutive six.Dipen joined Raju and the repair work had to be done. Both were playing some good cricket but Raju got bowled. Paul joined Dipen and played some good defensive shots.Dipen was attacking form the other hand where as Paul too played the waiting game before he scored 24 runs in 5 deliveries with 2 massive sixes and 3 fours. But he too didn’t last long so as the tail enders to post the score to 243 all out in 34.4 overs.

COCC never doubted DCC’s abilities. Paul started with an excellent over.Raju too bowled some good deliveries but couldn’t keep a check on extras.COCC bowlers struggled with line and length.Jatan was brought into attack and he bowled some good deliveries to which DCC openers had no answer. Alokik got the break through for COCC with 2 wickets in 3 balls in his very first over.Heat was getting on the COCC bowlers. Nikhil was brought in and he bowled some tight deliveries. Dipen was brought as a change up bowler and he did the job grabbing the all important wicket of Sanjeewa brilliantly taken at point by Nikhil. Dipen bowled good line and length and grabbed two more wickets. Wickets dried up and Nikhil was brought into attack. Nice pickup and throw by Sashi at midon got the all important wicket of Rahul. After 2 deliveries Rao was cleaned up by Nikhil grabbing 2 wickets in an over. The last wicket scored some valuable boundaries before Paul wrapped up DCC’s innings.

MOM ---- > Dipen for valuable 44 runs and 3 wickets.
