Match Report
COCC against DCC 2 in a row is something that everyone would have expected

to a tight one.DCC won the toss and elected to bowl first. The ground was

damp and DCC wanted to take the advantage of the moist conditions.COCC

started their innings with captain JD and Alay. Both the openers were in

attacking mood.Jd started where he had left last year against RCC by hitting

2 sixes which were well complimented by the spectator who had witnessed

his batting last year too.Jd didn't last too long and was nicely done by DCC

bowler Nikhil.Shrinu joined Alay and was done again in the same over by

Nikhil ans it was 2 wickets in same over.It was the over of the game with 2

massive sixes and 2 wickets. It seemed that DCC was getting hold but Alay's

determination to whack em all denied it.Alay hit a biggie over long off the shot of

the day.Alay and Keyur steadied things for COCC.When it seemed that Keyur had done the much needed hard work he was judged caught behind which had doubts in the batsman's mind.Viren joined Alay and displayed again some solid defensive cricket.Alay was dispatching the ball all around the park.DCC introduced Pratik who did the trick by getting Alay before break. After break COCC lost Amit and lost 2 wickets in quick succession. Raju and Viren palyed some good cricket. Both of them took singles and made sure that the scoreboard was ticking.Viren played some flamboyant shots specially a walking "UTHHAPA SHOT" for a six. When things were under control Natraj uprooted Viren.Nikhil joined Raju and both of them rotated strike.with 6 overs too go Nikhil decided to go after the bowling but was nicely

caught at point.Nishit joined Raju but Raju also was bowled by Pratik from a delivery

that stayed low.Nishit hit a six over cover to post a score of 180 for 10.

COCC had no doubts in their bowlers abilities.DCC to had the home advantage. Both teams were determined to get a win.Ivan started DCC's innings in style. He was dropped by Nishit of his own bowling.Alay got COCC their first breakthrough. Both bowlers bowled tidy line and length.Ivan was in wacky mood and was brilliantly caught at mid off by Alay.It seemed that the ball was flying but Alay caught it and got the much needed breakthrough.Sanjeewa known for his good batting joned Pratik. Both the batsman played defensive cricket.COCC also maitained pressure.Nishit bowled a magic one an in swinging dipping yorker which uprooted Sanjeewa.3 down for less than 30.Shreeni joined Pratik.DCC played good cricket and made COCC work hard

for anymore wickets. In no time a partnership of more that 50 runs made DCC come back in the game.Nikhil and Hemant were introduced into attack but were played cautiously.Jd had his thinking tank on and got Amit in.Amit got the breakthrough for his captain and COCC.Pratik after a good bowling spell was displaying his all round abilities and dispatched ball all around the park.Raju was brought into attack and got the much needed wicket of Pratik.Mahesh joine Rahul.Raju got Mahesh too caught

by Shrinu at long off a nice running catch.Alay mastered a plan for Niranjan with Raju and the trick worked and caught him at first slip.2 wickets in a one over what a spell by Raju.Game was on DCC never looked back even though after losing wickets.JD played his cards form his experience and kept the presure on.Alay was introduced back and got much needed wicket.DCC tried hard but COCC got their first win at Shiloh.

MOM --- A tough one but goes to Raju Patel for his excellent spell and good solid batting for 2 out of 2 in a row.

Also kudos for Alay for his all round performance as well as leading the field settings and creating pressure on opponents.

A well deserved word for Viren A.K.A "Tikdi" for his extra flamboyant rock solid batting when team was in need.

COCC would also like to thank DCC for the lunch those AWESOME FALAFALS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Umpire Report
Umpiring was consistent. Well done under pressure situations.

DCC report on umpiring: The umpiring was substandard. In run out situations, the umpire at the bowling end did not even move square of the wicket. On a stumping appeal, the leg umpire was not even paying attention and was looking off into the trees. And on an LBW appeal, the umpire upheld the appeal even though the ball had clearly pitched outside the leg stump and justified the decision by saying that it was going on to hit the stumps.
