Match Report
The pre-quarter final match between NCSU and RCC was played on a hot and humid day at Shiloh. RCC having won the toss decided to bat first and their openers faced some fiery bowling from the NCSU. Sethuraman and Sami bowled a consistent line and length and kept the scoring under check. With the outfield being very slow, runs were hard to come by. Sethu picked up the first wicket of the day bowling Parth with beautiful delivery. Samay walked into the crease and played the ball on its merit but was out to a short ball from bhavani with hemant taking a sharp catch at cover. Manish on the other end played cautiously and along with Satbir kept the strike rotating. With RCC's first boundary coming in the 12th over, NCSU knew they had the upper hand by bowling first. RCC seemed to steady the ship until the 20th over with sensible batting until Suhail made the important breakthroughs and caused a middle order collapse with Hemant taking more catches! With sensible bowling at the other end by Hiren and Bhavani RCC was struggling to score. Snehal and Keyur ensured RCC reach a score on 142.

NCSU openers Swapnil and Sethu were off to a good start showing some purpose in the batting. Sethu's monster six set the tone for the NCSU innings and the run chase was always under control. With Sethu's dismissal, Hemant went in and played some sensible shots along with a massive striaght six. Swapnil on the other end played some great cricketing shots and kept the strike rotating. With his dismissal, Vivek went in to score another huge six before being caught behind of Samay's bowling. Suhail came in and steadied the innings by rotating the strike effectively. With Hemant's dismissal, Ajinkya went in and took over where Hemant left. The two batsmen were always in control of the game and knew how important it was for NCSU to win this one. Their poise and calmness in a run chase for the second time in a row was outstanding. Ajinkya's huge six over square leg and Suhail's boundaries were among the highlights of their partnership. They played the ball on its merit and guided NCSU into the quarterfinals with some big hits towards the end.

NCSU would like to thank RCC for providing lunch and playing the game in good spirit.

NCSU nominates Suhail Sanghoi as the Man of the Match for his 4 wickets and match winning 33 not out.
