Match Report
TWCC vs. OCC 2 started on a very hot & humid day in Richmond. Once again, TWCC won the toss and smartly chose to field. At first the fielders were not comfortable, dropped catches, missed run-outs and misfielding at regular intervals, the bowlers were doing a great. After the 2nd drinks break, OCC was 140/4, Sanjay, who had already picked up two wickets with his accurate and penetrative bowling, had two overs left, Anthony decided to take the gamble to let Sanjay his quota, what a clinical decision it was, Sanjay ripped through the middle & lower batting lineup with 4 wickets in a single over with support from the fielders and perfect field placing, 3 of which was a hat-trick. Devdutt, who got his 1st wicket for TWCC earlier in the innings & Gavin finished OCC off with no hastle to have them dismissed for 145 after being 140/4.

TWCC's in form openers went into the crease looking solid as ever, Anthony started things off in style by hooking, pulling & cutting OCC's opening bowlers. Arjun looked a bit hesitant as start but quickly weathered the storm. Before you know it, it was 100/0 with Anthony hammering the ball in fine style to all parts of the ground & Arjun rock solid as ever at the other end. Arjun got dismissed for 35 & Anthony continued on in fine style before he got dismissed for a fine knock of 79. TWCC was clearly in the driver's seat after their best opening partnership of their 2009 campaign, TWCC should've won this game with just the loss of 2 wickets. But then things went downhill very fast, TWCC's middle order took the target for granted and found themselves 5 down to reach the target.

Highlights: Sanjay Patel 6/37 with a hattrick

109 opening partnership between Anthony & Arjun

Anthony's 79 in 46 balls with 7 fours & 6 sixes

MAN OF THE MATCH: Sanjay Patel

TWCC would like to thanks OCC for providing lunch , water & drink.
