MID-ATLANTIC CRICKET CONFERENCE
POLICY ON PAYMENT AND REIMBURSEMENT OF UMPIRES

I. UMPIRING FEE: Umpires provided by their teams to meet League requirements are not paid umpiring fees. Unaffiliated umpires are paid a match fee. Umpires who are members of teams but volunteer for
individual umpiring in addition to their team's obligations will also be paid a match fee. The teams on the ground collect $1 per player per umpire to give each neutral umpire $22. If there are two neutral
umpires for the match the teams must collect $2 per player so that each umpire gets $22. This is not paid by the League this year; it is paid by the two teams who are playing the match. Umpires shall
provide any documentation that any particular team may need to request for this fee.

II. LUNCH: All umpires, regardless of affiliation, are entitled to lunch on the day of the match. If this is not provided by the teams on the ground, or if the umpire has a reasonable desire not to eat the
lunch provided and to provide his own, he will be reimbursed $8 for lunch upon application to the League with proper documentation. Receipts will not be required, as this is a set reimbursement.

III. OTHER MEALS: Umpires will be entitled to reimbursement at a rate of $6 for breakfast and $8 for dinner on the day of a match if they make a round trip of more than 300 miles to umpire the match.
This will be available to all umpires, regardless of affiliation, who make such a trip. In the event of an overnight stay or other legitimate reason that other meals should be reimbursed, applications
for reimbursement will be considered by the League case by case. Receipts will not be required, as this is a set reimbursement.

IV. MILEAGE: Partial reimbursement for mileage will be given to all umpires who travel, whether affiliated with a team or not, and will be paid by the League at a fixed rate for umpires who travel outside
their local areas to umpire a match, and to umpires who travel from Roanoke to Blacksburg to umpire a match. Receipts will not be required, as this is a set reimbursement of approximately 14 cents per
mile. An umpire will not be eligible for mileage reimbursement if he rides with someone else.

The League is divided into eight local areas: Hampton, Richmond, VT/Roanoke, High Point, Charlotte/Gastonia, Columbia, NC Triangle, and Greenville. No expense reimbursement for umpiring within an
umpire's local area, except for mileage between VT and Roanoke. No meals, travel or lodging to be reimbursed for travel within the local area, except for lunch.

umpire stands for two matches in the same weekend or in emergencies. Travel expenses other than mileage reimbursement will be considered for reimbursement upon presentation of a request accompanied by a receipt, up to a maximum of the mileage rates above or the receipt amount, whichever is smaller.

VI. SUBMISSION OF REQUESTS FOR REIMBURSEMENT TO THE MACC: Requests for reimbursement should be submitted to the League on a standard form provided by the League.
