Disciplinary Committee Findings and Decisions on Gastonia vs. Anzacs match:

Two members of the DCC met today (Irfan PCC and Raju BCC (Captain)).
We communicated with Ghalib (HCC) over the phone and also got his
consensus with the findings and decision of the matter between GCC
and ANZACS.

To respond to the 2 items listed in your email here is our response
after reviewing the testimonials from 2 teams and further research
into the rules regarding forfeiture of games:

A) May the suspension against GCC be lifted so that they may be
permitted to play their remaining games, and if so

The DCC found that the match abandoned by GCC does not fall under the
true definition of forfeiture in question. Therefore, since the game
was not 'forfeited' the DCC does not put GCC under the scrutiny of
that rule. GCC has full playing capability as any other team does in
the league.

B) Are the circumstances exceptional enough to award a rematch, or
should ANZACs are awarded 6 points for last week's forfeiture by GCC.

Since it is not possible to make a concrete judgment as to which team
was at fault with regards to keeping up with the spirit of the game,
we have to award the game to ANZACs. Therefore, ANZACs receive
winning points and GCC receives losing points.

This is a classic example of problems with not having a non-playing
team umpire the game.

I will send out another email to all recipients detailing the
reasoning of our conclusion in this matter.

Thanks.

On behalf of the Disciplinary Committee,
Irfan (PCC).
