It
was wet in the morning but turns out to be a beautiful day for HPCC at
spectacular field of dreams Hobson Cricket Ground. HPCC won the toss and elected
to bat. Bilal Mahmood and Qaiser Khan Opened the inning while Faraz and Snehal
opened the bowling for GHCC. Bilal and Qaiser started playing strokes all over
the field and took the opening partnership to 74 in 9 overs. Qaiser Bahia 29 of
27 balls was the first one to go when Muzafar caught an easy catch at the slip
off Uzhair. Next batsman was Shami who named Red Hot by his team mates after
smacking two 50s& 42 not out. He came in carrying same heat smacked the ball all
over the field made his 50 off 25 balls and gone. He was caught by Fawad of
Faraz at boundry line.2nd wicket fell at 170 in the 18th over. Bilal and shami
made 96 in 9 overs. Bilal was in a classic touch missing out first four games
because of an injury. He opened with 1s and 2s and safe grounded strokes all
over. He reached his fifty with only four 4s after that him and new inform
batsman Qaiser Mahmood went ballistic on the bowlers. Both hitting three sixes
in a row against Muzafar and Fawad.Bilal went on scoring a classical and
tremendous hundred. This is first individual hunred by HPCC this season and also
at Hobson Cricket Ground. Congratulations to Bilal on a magnificent 101 of only
65 balls. He was caught behind by the capt. Kam of Fawad. Now score was 216/3 in
22 overs. Faisal joined Qaiser Mahmood and tried to score quickly but fell short
on boundary by Faraz off Uzhair scoring just 1 run 235/4 in 23 overs. Qaiser
Mahmood scored 36 of 14 balls and he was clean bowled by Snehal. 256/5 in 24
overs. Captin Ghias and Malik were on the crease with six overs remaining and
they gave the cake rest of the icing it needed. They scored 86 runs of last six
overs and remained unbeaten. Ghias 42 of 25 and Malik 39 of 21. HPCC made the
Highest score of the MACC for 2004.They made 342/5 in 30 overs. I can not recall
any other team scoring 342. After the break GHCC started there inning with Ahmed
and Fahad while Fadi and Akbar opened the bowling for HPCC. Fahad was the first
one to go LBW by Fadi on 12. Ahmed was caught at point by Qaiser Mahmood off
Ghias. He scored 07. Then Bilal was in action. He bowled as beautifully as he
batted. He had brilliant spell of 6overs 2 maidens 14 runs and 4 wickets. Faraz
the dangerous man was cleeeeeeean bowled bye a fantastic delivery by Bilal .
Fadi took 1, Ghias 2 , shami 1 and Bilal 4. one runout by Bahia and shami and
GHCC had only 10 players. At the end no doubt man of the match was Bilal with
classic 101 of 65 balls and claiming 4 wickets for just 14 runs in 6 overs.
Congratulations to Bilal for magnificent all-round performance and HPCC for
